Next years hunting season in Wisconsin could be much different. Tonight hearings were held to discuss the idea of adding 7 days to the firearm season in Wisconsin. This proposed change comes on the heels of the earn-a-buck program being shut down this spring. Authorities hope that the longer season will be a more effective way of managing the thriving Wisconsin deer herd. Any thoughts on this? From an outsiders view, I felt like the earn-a-buck idea was a good way to help improve the buck-to-doe ratio, but I haven’t seen data in regards to it’s success. Anyone else have insight into this?
