2009 Michigan Firearm Season Opener

Today marks the season opener of firearm season for deer hunters in my home state of Michigan. Somewhere around 700,000 hunters will be hitting the woods this morning across the state in pursuit of one of the estimated 1.8 million Whitetails. Last year almost 365,000 deer were taken during the firearm season and similar results are expected this year.  Good luck to everyone bringing their “boom-sticks” into the woods today, looking forward to hearing your stories soon!
