You guys may remember a week or so ago we shared a recent interview I had with Shawn Luchtel of Heartland Bowhunter and HeadHunters TV. Shawn mentioned to me that he hadn’t been able to shoot a buck the last three years because he had been dedicated almost solely to working the camera. That being said, I was really excited to hear that Shawn dropped a monster last night on the opening day of the Missouri bow season. He definitely deserved it! Looks like they measured him out to be 172 6/8″! Check out Shawn’s quick recap below and then read the full story and see more pictures on the official Heartland Bowhunter blog here…

Missouri Opening Day Success!

“We have known Junior since he was two years old. We have passed him numerous times on video in the past two years. Scoring close to 160 as a 3 year old made it very hard to pass him but it all paid off in the end. We have had Reconyx pics of him walking through a fence gap up until opening day. Of course, the fence gap would be where we would sit on opening evening. The rest is pretty much history.” – Shawn
