ATA 2011 is in the books and I’m back from an amazing trip to Indianapolis and the largest archery convention in America. Words can’t really do it justice, but what an experience it was. Thousands of archery companies, dealers, hunters and media members flocked to the Indiana Convention Center for three days of archery events, displays, new products and great camaraderie. I unfortunately was only able to attend for one day, but I certainly packed in plenty during the time I had!
My day started bright and early at 3:30 AM on Saturday, as I hit the road on the way to Indy. Arriving to ATA at 9:00 AM, I was immediately overwhelmed by the enormity of the convention center floor and the absolute mass of people, displays and gear. It was a bowhunter’s dream and I was about to dive in head first. And over the next nine hours I walked the floor interviewing our favorite deer hunting TV personalities, filming video previews of some of the hottest new products for 2011 and chit chatting with the who’s who in the hunting industry. In addition to spending a lot of time working hard to cover the event, I also got to enjoy some great times with fellow hunters and good friends. So over the next couple days we’ll be sharing with the Wired To Hunt Nation all of the great content we were able to put together at the ATA show and hopefully give you a sneak peak into this amazing event and a look at what’s to come for great gear in 2011. Stay tuned!
