With the latest blizzard hitting the Midwest and Northeast, it certainly still feels like winter for many of us. But believe it or not, spring is just around the corner and that means it’s time to start working. That is, working on habitat management projects, scouting, and  all sorts of other preparations for the next hunting season! On my mind are some efforts to improve beddings areas and cover, and a few adjustments to food plots. So whatever it is for you, now is the time to start thinking about the work that will need to be done soon to improve your odds for success in 2013! If you’re stuck inside waiting the storm out, maybe this weekend is the right time for you to put together a plan of action for the coming weeks and months. You can never start preparing for next season too soon!

That said, in the meantime we’ve got some great whitetail related blog posts from across the web for you to check out – and several that directly apply to the topic of late winter/spring projects! Have a great weekend and enjoy the wild outdoors.
