Take a deep breath. Steady your nerves. Put your finger on the trigger… And decide. Shoot or don’t shoot?
It’s that time again here at Wired To Hunt! A fellow Wired To Hunt reader has sent in a buck that he needs your opinion on, so here it is.
This buck hails from the “driftless area” of Southwest Wisconsin. This region is an awesome combination of crop ground with wooded valleys and fingers. The property that this buck is on is private and is completely surrounded by other private ground. The W2H reader who sent these pics in is trying to manage his farm, but his neighbors are only semi managing. If they see this buck, they will most certainly shoot him. This buck, dubbed “Captain America”, is believed to be 3.5 years old and his estimated score puts him in the mid 140’s. In addition to the pics from this year, he was also photoed and filmed often in 2012 as a 115″ 2.5 year old (this photo is immediately below).
He seems to be a buck with great potential, but he’s only 3.5. He’s also the best buck that has been photoed on this property yet this year.
So, what would you do? Do you let this stud in the making go for another year? Or do you take him now, before the neighbors do, as a very respectable 3.5 old 140 class buck?
It’s your decision to make – just vote in the poll below and let us know your reasons why in the comments!
