Lone Wolf stands have become renowned as some of the most high quality treestands for hardcore whitetail hunters over the past ~20 years. All of that time, they have depended on their cast aluminum platforms to differentiate themselves from the competition.

Now though, they are breaking the mold, and releasing a treestand without that long time feature.

For 2014 Lone Wolf is launching the Alpha Tech F1 treestand and they describe it as “feature packed and affordably priced”.

Despite the lack of the cast aluminum platform, the Alpha Tech comes with many of the features we’re used to seeing on hang-on stands from Lone Wolf, such as the self leveling mechanism, the versabutton and straps, the adjustable seat and handy backpacking straps. Different from their other hang ons though, this stand is also coming with an extra thick seat cushion – which I think will be appreciated.

The final package comes in at just under 14 lbs, and has a 30″ x 19.5″ platform. All that said, Lone Wolf will be selling this new stand for $210.

So what do you guys think about this step in a new direction for Lone Wolf?
