Have your backpack, binoculars and hiking boots ready for March 1st, 2014.
Courtesy of a neat idea from our friends at Whitetail Properties, the first Saturday of March this year will be the first “Shed Rally”. A day for everyone to hit the woods together and start looking for antlers, while also enjoying the camaraderie of fellow hunters across the country!
While out shed hunting on March 1st, hunters are encouraged to post their best pics of antlers found on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – and use the hashtag #ShedRally. The folks at Whitetail Properties will then check out all the various photos, and award prizes from a number of their brand partners.
I was already planning on being out shed hunting on March 1st, so I’ll definitely be participating in the #ShedRally. Seems like a neat idea to get hunters out in the woods, maybe get a few new folks introduced to shed hunting and a great way to get hunters interacting with each other online too! That said, be sure to post your photos with the hashtag, and if you’d like to share your photos with the Wired To Hunt Nation too – throw a #WiredToHunt hashtag on as well! I’ll see you all out there (at least online that is!)
