As we often discuss here on Wired To Hunt, consistent success hunting whitetails (especially mature ones), requires year round effort and a fair share of teeth gritting hard work. One of the most important pieces of that year round puzzle is post-season scouting. Unfortunately, a lot of hunters completely neglect this important task.
In my most recent article for North American Whitetail, I review the importance of post-season scouting and then share some high level tips for how to go about it and what to look for. If you’re new to chasing big bucks, this is a must read, and if you’re an old hand, it should still be a helpful reminder and maybe even a good kick in the butt!
