I’ve been awake 24 hours straight, I can’t quite see straight and and I’ve got a Selena Gomez song stuck in my head. Despite these alarming issues, my all-nighter was completely worth it. Why? Because today we’ve launched a brand new version of Wired To Hunt.
As you can likely see, things are looking quite a bit different. This is in fact the largest renovation that’s been done to Wired To Hunt since I first launched the site back in 2008 and in my opinion, it couldn’t come soon enough.
On that first day of Wired To Hunt’s existence, I was sitting in a 12×12 foot dingy college dorm room I was renting in NYC, while working a summer internship and slowly pulling my hair out counting down the days til I could return to fresh air and a treestand. Now, more than six years later, Wired To Hunt has grown into one of the largest whitetail deer hunting blogs on the web and my full-time career. This re-branding and re-design is a product of that tremendous growth and none of it could have happened without people like you who have followed my journey, spread the word about Wired To Hunt, and kept checking back in day after day. And before we go any further, I want to make sure you know how much I appreciate that. Thank you so much.
That said, Wired To Hunt has done a lot of “growing up” over the past few years and it was time that our website reflected that. With this being the case, over the past few months we’ve totally rethought the logo, branding, functionality and design of the site – to make sure Wired To Hunt is the best it can be for you, my fellow whitetail addicts.
My goal with this transition was to create a site that was more enjoyable to spend time on, that reflected the “next generation” mindset that I try to apply to Wired To Hunt, and that also could makes things easier for our readers/listeners/viewers. I believe and I hope, we’ve achieved that.
I’d encourage you to take some time and look around the new site when you get a chance. We’ve tried to add a number of new navigating options and tools that will make it easier for you to find the content you’re looking for and more enjoyable to actually consume it. On top of all the new bells and whistles on the new site, you’ve likely noticed the new logo and with that new logo we’ve got new merchandise coming. Look for new Wired To Hunt hats and t-shirts to be available soon.
Finally, please note that this re-design is still a work-in-progress. We’ve got a number of additional tweaks we’re trying to make, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a few unknown issues are still yet to arise. If you happen to come upon a glitch or a bug or some kind of issue with the site, if you could please send me a note through our contact page about it, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks so much for your support over the years and I hope you enjoy the new Wired To Hunt!
