After taking last week off to recover from the craziness of the ATA Show, we are back at it again this week with the Friday Morning Mashup. I had a fantastic time at my first ATA show, and was able to meet some of the fine people from the industry and see all the awesome new products coming to the market this year. It was a great kick-off to my 2017 season and I’m looking forward to all that the new year has in store!

But to the point at hand, below I’ve rounded up a selection of the best hunting blog posts from across the web this week. Take a look and have a great weekend.

12 Muzzleloaders from the 2017 SHOT Show – The SHOT show is currently going on in Las Vegas. Given the fact that I am in the market for a new muzzleloader, I’m particularly interested, and these look to be some of the best options on the market right now.

Has Spring Arrived for Deer Hunters? – Field & Stream: Are bucks starting to drop their antlers in your neck of the woods? It’s early but not out of the question for antlers to start hitting the ground.

Tennessee Buck Officially Contends for the World Record – North American Whitetail: I had the opportunity to see the antlers from this buck at the ATA show. It was truly a site to see! This incredible buck scored 312 3/8 inches after the 60 day mandatory drying period.

Dairy Farmer Makes Time to Hunt Big Bucks – Aaron Knuston is a dairy farmer from Wisconsin. He has had some incredible success as a bowhunter even with his limited time to hunt. His story continues to show that quality hunts can often lead to more success than quantity.

Legendary Comstock Buck, a Vehicle, a Claim Tag and Whitetail Controversy – Deer & Deer Hunting: A legendary buck in Comstock Wisconsin saw his life come to an unfortunate end by way of a vehicle. Controversy then ensued in the community as to who claimed the buck. It sounds like this will be a debate in this Wisconsin town for years to come.
