His nose obviously is indicative of a younger deer, but his overall body features makes me think he actually may be older, maybe even in decline.

It’s too dark to be legal hunting hours and you can’t see what lies beyond the deer (your target). Under different circumstances, all I see is sausage and back straps!

I’ve been getting no call action this spring from the gobblers at all which makes locating impossible. I was scheming a new tactic and thought about putting some bait down in front of a cam to see what came in. Good to know it’ll work if I’ve got any turklers nearby. Post some of those trail cam shots!

I got one pic of what I think is him last year. He’s still an 8 but he has grown wider…outside his ears. It was early August and still in velvet.
