Weekly Rut Report 11/19-11/26

The new rut report from Larry Weishuhn (Mr. Whitetail) is up on Versus Country today. The word seems to be pretty good across the country as rutting action is pretty strong. Some common complaints seem to exist as well though, these being that the unseasonably warm temps and excessive standing corn has kept deer sightings relatively low. That being said, there still is enough action during the day to keep you on stand and excited. Get out there and hunt hard, action should be good this week, especially if your area gets hit with a cold front.

Versus Country – Scratching My Hunting Itch

Being in California this fall, I’m unfortunately not going to be able to do much in the way of whitetail hunting, but I have found a couple ways to still get my fix. These days my hunting is mostly done online while working on my blog and my real adventurous moments are happening on the TV in front of me as I soak in as much hunting programming as possible. I’m a particular fan of Tuesday night pursuits on Versus Country, is there really any better way to spend a week night than watching North American Hunter, The Bucks of Tecomate or Tred Barta? So for those of you who can’t get in the woods as much as you’d like, hop on to your computer or in front of your tv to scratch the hunting itch for a little bit. Some of my other favorites include:

I also love the Versus Country commercials. They focus on how us outdoorsmen are the orginal conservationists and I really agree with that.
