Happy Friday folks! I’ve got to be honest, I feel a little bit scandalous. My mind has been wandering, and some might even say I’m about to cheat on my first love.

Yes, turkey season in Michigan is opening in three days and I’m stoked. Of course, whitetails are where my heart truly lies. But for a few weeks each year I turn my attention to thunder chickens, and I’m pretty darn excited to get that started. If you’re an avid whitetail hunter who’s never tried turkey hunting, I’d highly recommend it. It’s a great excuse to be in the woods on a clear, warm spring morning, and I’d even say that turkey hunting helps tune your hunter’s edge – which will surely come in handy this fall.

But, if you’re not turkey hunting this weekend, and you’d like to stay pure and focused on whitetails – I’ve got you covered. Below are a handful of great whitetail related blog posts from across the web. Enjoy, have a great weekend and stay wired to hunt!
