If you’re looking to improve your property for deer and deer hunting, the simple inexpensive “strategy” featured in today’s Video of the Day can make a huge difference. And that’s creating a sanctuary. We’ve discussed this sanctuary topic often on Wired To Hunt, and while the particulars of creating and using a sanctuary are often debated, the general idea is one that I can’t argue with.
Maintaining a consistent relatively human-free “safe area” for deer on your property is going to allow your to hold more deer and likely see them moving in daylight more often. And now, during this late winter, early spring time-period, is a great time to start thinking about creating an area like this on your own property. That said, if you’re interested in learning more about how to create and use a sanctuary, I’d highly recommend you check today’s video out, from outdoor writer and whitetail savant Steve Bartylla. And if you enjoy it, be sure to check out Steve’s interview on the Wired To Hunt Podcast. (Patterning Mature Bucks w/Steve Bartylla)
